Deonna Purrazzo remains the Impact Knockouts Champion!
In the main event, the former WWE superstar defended her belt against the former champ in a 30-minute Ironwoman match. Not surprisingly, Purrazzo instantly got to work on Grace’s arm and used various submissions to keep the Texas Native grounded; however, Grace managed to reverse a Full Nelson into a Rear Naked Choke and Purrazzo’s arm dropped three times, giving Grace the first win.
Grace tried to keep the pressure on Purrazzo, but the craftly champion countered with a running knee and locked in a Koji Clutch. The challenger eventually got to the ropes, but the damage was done and Purrazzo kept up the attack. There was a glimmer of hope after Grace successfully hit a series of right hands, but a referee bump prevented Grace from getting a second fall after she connected with the Grace Driver.
Purrazzo grabbed the belt and blasted Grace with it. She would pick up the fall and tie the match-up with one win a piece. With ten seconds left on the clock, Purrazzo had the Fujiwara Ambar tightly locked in and Grace would ultimately tap with three seconds to spare.
Kylie Rae is still set to challenge Purrazzo for the title in the near future. Both women had a tremendous showing and it should be interesting to see where Grace goes from here.
