The Impact Knockouts Champion continued to impress on Tuesday night.
Deonna Purrazzo managed to win the title at Slammiversary and the newly crowned champion showcased the same strategy and aggressiveness that allowed her to beat Jordynne Grace on July 18. Lee got some glimmers of hope throughout the brief match and even had a nearfall after a deadly german suplex; however, Purrazzo ultimately won the bout thanks to the Fujiwara armbar.
The real story was after the match where Jordynne Grace made her return. The former Impact Knockouts Champion came down to ring with her arm in a sling, but instantly took it off revealing that it was a ruse; Grace would then give Purrazzo a stiff beating. The Texas native knocked the former WWE superstar out of the ring and handed her back the knockouts title, but not before indicating that she’s going to be champion once again.
It was clear last night that the feud between Grace and Purrazzo was far from over, but where does Kylie Rae – the current #1 contender for the championship – fit into this? Well, Josh Matthews stated that Rae was stuck in Wrestle House, thus she's unable to compete for the title right now.
