Eddie Edwards will have his first title defense this Tuesday.
The newly crowned Impact World Champion is set to put his title on the line against Trey Miguel of The Rascalz in the main event. Originally, the 25-year-old seemed primed to win the eight-man world championship tournament back in May; however, any plans of Miguel winning the overall competition were derailed thanks to Ace Austin.
Miguel impressed during the Slammiversary main event on July 18th; however, the Impact star made a huge mistake that costed him, as Eric Young nailed his signature piledriver finisher that eliminated Miguel from the five-way elimination match-up.
While Miguel has yet to win any gold within the promotion, The Rascalz member is no stranger to holding a singles title as Trey has previously held the A1 Zero Gravity Championship (Alpha-1 Wrestling), Extreme Championship (Extreme Chaos Wrestling), and SWE Speed King Championship (Southside Wrestling Entertainment). Will he add the Impact World Championship to his resume? We’ll find out Tuesday!
The main event joins a stacked show that features the in-ring debut of The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson), along with the new Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo in action.
