It looks like Eric Young vs. Eddie Edwards is next.
At Slammiversary, Edwards beat Trey Miguel, Rich Swann, Eric Young, and Ace Austin to win the Impact World title for a second time. However, one of the big stories that came out of the match-up was Young violently attacking a returning Swann following his elimination due to the former X-Division Champion.
On Impact, Edwards expressed his happiness over finally winning the big one again on Saturday and promised to do the company proud as the Impact World Champion. Young then made his way to the ring, but was actually cut off by Edwards before he could speak. Edwards wasn’t thrilled over what the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion did to Rich Swann at the pay-per-view and feels that Young deserves to get his ass kicked.
The returning star made the claim that Impact is his world now, and stated that Eddie should be happy that Swann was on the receiving end of the violent assault, not Edwards. Eventually, the Impact World Champion dived into Young and attacked the TNA Original until officials broke up the brawl. During the chaos, Young managed to sucker punch Edwards before leaving.
Eddie Edwards vs. Eric Young is the clear destination for the Impact World title. Could Eddie’s days as champion be numbered?
