Rich Swann vs. Eric Young is official!

The rivalry between Young and Swann has been building since the new Impact World Champion crippled the former X-Division Champion at Slammiversary.

Last week, Swann got a measure of revenge on the psychotic Impact star and the Baltimore native came out last night to pled his case to Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore on why he deserves a shot at the Impact World Championship.

Before D’Amore could make his decision, Young stormed the ring and immediately went after Swann. D’Amore tried to stop the Impact World Champion, but Young shoved him out of the way, which was a move that backfired on the Canada native.

Swann got the better of Young, who eventually backed away from the returning star. D’Amore sympathized with Swann and confirmed the match-up between the two top athletes. This is the first official match set at the biggest show for Impact Wrestling.

Swann has come close to winning the Impact World title on several occasions, most notably at the 2019 No Surrender event against Sami Callihan, but the 29-year-old has never been able to reach the top of the mountain. Will that change on October 24, 2020?
