In a bit of a surprise, Rhino emerged victorious in the Call Your Shot Battle Royal!

This past weekend was big for professional wrestling that started off with Impact’s Bound For Glory special on Saturday. Due to the stipulation on Tuesday, the ECW legend was out first and Rhino came close to being eliminated several times in the contest.

The match-up had several surprises such as the return of former TNA World Heavyweight Champion James Storm and Swoggle (WWE’s Hornswoggle), with the final four ending up being Sami Callihan, Storm, Heath, and Rhino. Callihan tossed out both Storm and Heath, which then prompted the second portion of the contest, a singles match.

The bout didn’t take long as Rhino took advantage of a distracted Callihan, who tried to cheat by using a steel chair. Rhino hit the gore and got the three count. Not only does Rhino get to choose his next championship match, but Heath can continue fighting on Impact.

According to PW Insider, Heath was actually supposed to win the Battle Royal match; however, the former WWE superstar suffered an injury (groin or abdomen tear) that forced officials to call an audible and give the win to Rhino. Thus far, there’s no word on how severe the injury is.
