Tessa Blanchard is finally getting her shot at the Impact World Championship.

Impact Wrestling has confirmed that Sami Callihan will defend his title against Blanchard at their upcoming Hard To Kill pay-per-view on January 12, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. As previously stated, this will be the first time that a woman will challenge for the world championship on pay-per-view.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise, as Blanchard seemingly challenged Callihan to a title match following his win over Brian Cage several weeks ago. The former Knockouts Champion and “The Draw” have been feuding for much of late 2019, with the Impact World Champion owning two singles victories over Blanchard.

Blanchard was originally advertised to compete in a elimination five-way match that also featured Daga, Michael Elgin, Rich Swann, and Moose. As of this writing, the match-up is still being advertised for the November 19th episode of Impact Wrestling; however, it should be addressed sometime soon.
