IMPACT WRESTLING Makes A Big Change To Their World Title Match At SLAMMIVERSARY

Following the departures of Michael Elgin and Tessa Blanchard, Impact has announced big changes to their World title match at Slammiversary, which now includes a fourth man added to the main event.

A mystery man will compete for the Impact World title.

Over the last few weeks, Impact’s Slammiversary has managed to take a big hit as both Michael Elgin and Tessa Blanchard are officially gone from the company. The third-generation star was effectively stripped of the prestigious belt, which ended her reign at 165 days. This guarantees a new champion at the pay-per-view on July 18.

Last night, Impact confirmed that the match-up will now be a elimination four-way bout for the Impact World Championship, with Trey, Austin, and Edwards still apart of the match. However, a mystery man will make-up the fourth entrant of the contest.

There was no hint on who could be the mystery man for the main event at Slammiversary; however, Impact has been teasing the return of several former TNA/Impact stars over the past couple of weeks, thus it’s possible that the returning wrestler will re-debut in the match-up. That’s just pure speculation on my end.

Check out the updated line-up for Slammiversary:

Four-way Elimination match for the Impact World Championship: Ace Austin w/Madman Fulton vs. Trey Miguel vs. Eddie Edwards vs. a mystery opponent

Impact Knockouts Championship match: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo

X-Division Championship match: Willie Mack (c) vs. Chris Bey

Knockouts Gauntlet match: Taya Valkyrie vs. Kiera Hogan vs. Susie vs. Rosemary vs. Nevaeh vs. Tasha Steelz vs. Kylie Rae vs. Alisha Edwards vs. Havok vs. Kimber Lee

Impact World Tag Team Championship match: The North (c) vs. Sami Callihan and Ken Shamrock
