Several days ago, the AXS TV website revealed the cancellation of Rebellion on April 19; however, the official Impact Wrestling website still listed the pay-per-view as an upcoming event. Until now.
Impact Wrestling has confirmed that Rebellion in New York City will no longer take place. Also, Against All Odds - which was their Impact Plus show on April 17 – and the television tapings in Columbus, Ohio on April 24 & 25 are also scrapped from their upcoming live events line-up.
Below is the official statement from the company’s website:
“As a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, IMPACT Wrestling will not be hosting “Against All Odds” on April 17th in Toronto, the April 19th “Rebellion” pay-per-view event at New York City’s Terminal 5 and the April 24th & 25th TV tapings in Columbus, Ohio. We are monitoring the situation closely and are looking at alternative ways that we can produce the events. All tickets will be fully refunded from point of purchase.
“The safety of our fans, talent and staff is of utmost importance and we will continue to adjust plans as necessary while still delivering as much IMPACT Wrestling as possible.”
The only matches that were set for Rebellion was Sami Callihan vs. Ken Shamrock and Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, and Eddie Edwards in a Triple Threat match for the Impact World Championship. There were no confirmed match-ups for Against All Odds.
