On RAW, fans just witnessed a small glimpse of what both Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe could do inside the ring. While the two talents have never faced each other in a WWE ring, Joe and Angle feuded with one another back in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.
It all began in 2006, Samoa Joe was on a massive unbeaten streak as the ‘Samoan Submission Machine’ was booked as an ass-kicker during his early days in the company. The feud began with a simple headbutt from Angle in his first night with the company and the intensity of the rivalry escalated from there.
At Genesis, the former WWE champion officially make his in-ring pay-per-view debut for then named TNA against Samoa Joe and the two competitors had arguably one of the greatest wrestling matches in the company’s history.
