It appears that Alberto El Patron might be going back to Impact Wrestling.

The promotion is reportedly interested in bringing back the former Impact World Heavyweight champion, according to sescoops. The promotion believe that his personal issues are now in the past, following several months without any incident. At one point, El Patron seemed to pop up in the news every week for reason after reason.

El Patron was fired from the promotion back in April after no showing the cross promotional event between Impact and Lucha Underground.

While El Patron has been quiet in the news lately, the former Impact World Heavyweight champion's track history of no-showing at promotions occurred once again back in August when he pulled out of the AAA TripleMania XXVI card. According to El Patron, the company didn’t pay him his deposit on time.

Despite this being a risky move, Impact believes El Patron’s name value outweighs the negatives. The controversy with Austin Aries walking out of the promotion after Bound For Glory is also another reason the company is looking for a name to represent their brand.
