Last week, Impact Wrestling announced their collaboration with Major League Wrestling during the week of WrestleMania 35.
The show, United We Stand, is set to take place on Thursday, April 4 at Rahway Recreation Centre (275 E. Milton Ave.) in Rahway, NJ and now, Impact is teasing major returns in regards to the special event.
The first being that the company is teasing “extreme icons” to take part of the event. Impact has worked with numerous ECW superstars in the past such as Bully Ray, Sabu, Raven, Stevie Richards, Rob Van Dam, and most recently, Tommy Dreamer.
The company is also teasing that a former world champion will make his return to the promotion in the main event. Bully Ray is also a former TNA World Heavyweight champion thus it’s possible that he could be the star that the company is talking about.
However, in recent years, TNA has dropped Alberto El Patron and Austin Aries, both men who would be likely to return to the company as well. El Patron is currently focused on MMA while Aries is still making rounds on the independent scene. Despite the controversial ending to Bound For Glory 2018, reports surfaced that the company was open to having Aries back in the promotion. Of course, all names mentioned are just pure speculation at this point.
Both of these announcements will take place during Friday’s episode of IMPACT on both Pursuit and Twitch.
