Since being released by WWE, The IIconics, a.k.a. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, have kept their partnership going and rebranded their tag team, The IIconics, as The IInspiration.
While wrestling fans waited with bated breath to see where the two women would land (now using the names Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee), they debuted in IMPACT Wrestling at the Bound For Glory PPV last year. There, they managed to defeat Decay (Havok and Rosemary) to win the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship and both have since received a significant push.
With IMPACT Wrestling's Knockouts Champion Mickie James returning to WWE for the Women's Royal Rumble, it's looking like the two companies could be about to embark on a working relationship. We're not banking on that bringing McKay and Lee back to WWE - they were among those released in the midst of the pandemic - but it doesn't feel like they actually need that exposure right now.
After all, they're making a name for themselves away from the sports entertainment giant, and that could actually lead to a greater level of stardom down the line. In the meantime, McKay continues to leave jaws on the floor via her Instagram account thanks to another stunning series of images.
One of the most beautiful and talented wrestlers working today, McKay is definitely a talent to keep an eye on over the next few years as being free on WWE's confines could be the best thing that ever happened to her and Lee.
