Unfortunately, Lockdown – an Impact Plus exclusive – will no longer take place on March 28.
Like many cancelled events in professional wrestling, this is all due to the coronavirus. Border City Wrestling announced that St. Clair College had cancelled all their events until further notice. Impact announced the return of the pay-per-view back in January.
The last time Impact Wrestling held the special show was back in 2016 where Beer Money, Inc. (Bobby Roode and James Storm) fended off Eric Young and Bram, Trevor Lee (WWE’s Cameron Grimes) beat Tigre Uno to retain the X-Division Championship, and Matt Hardy defended the Impact World Heavyweight Championship against EC3 in the main event.
In terms of TNA: There’s No Place Like Home and Rebellion, Impact has yet to cancel or postpone either show; however, the promotion states that they are keeping a close eye on both events:
No official matches were set for There’s No Place Like Home; however, talents such as Amazing Red, Scott Steiner, Chris Harris, and Ken Anderson were set to make a one-night return. In terms of Rebellion, the only match confirmed is the Three-way Impact World Championship bout with Tessa Blanchard, Eddie Edwards, and Michael Elgin.
