Michael Elgin got another big win last night on Impact Wrestling.
In the opening contest, the former ROH World Champion faced both Sami Callihan and Ken Shamrock in a three-way match-up. Not surprisingly, the bout started out chaotic as all three men had issues with one another going in.
For Elgin, he was screwed out of an opportunity to challenge for the Impact World Championship thanks to Sami Callihan, who caused the distracted to allow Trey Miguel to advance into the finals of the eight-man #1 contender’s tournament.
For Shamrock, Michael Elgin violently assaulted the 2020 Impact Hall of Fame inductee, which forced him to pull out of the eight-man #1 Contender's tournament. As for Sami Callihan, the former Impact World Champion is looking for retribution after being embarrassed by Michael Elgin in their first-round match-up.
The bout was a hard-hitting affair between all three men; however, in the end, Elgin managed to toss out Callihan by striking him with a back fist. With Shamrock out due to his back hitting an exposed turnbuckle seconds earlier, the 33-year-old then connected with the Elgin Bomb for the win within nine minutes.
