Tommy Dreamer will go to war against Moose on July 18th.
In a bit of a surprise, the former ECW World Champion will take on the self-proclaimed TNA World Heavyweight Champion at Slammiversary. This all stems from last week’s Impact, where Moose tried to beatdown former TNA World Tag Team Champion Crazzy Steve until Tommy Dreamer made the save.
Moose would end up getting the better of the exchange and left both men lying inside of the ring. Following the match-up, Dreamer cut a passionate promo criticizing Moose for creating a fake world title and claimed that he would end up being a bust in the world of professional wrestling. This didn’t make Moose happy, who threaten to sue the company if Dreamer didn’t issue a public apology.
Moose got his apology last night, but Impact officials are forcing him to defend the belt against Dreamer at Slammiversary. The company has been teasing that a former Impact World Champion would end up fighting Moose for the belt at the big summer pay-per-view; however, it appears that Dreamer was ultimately the goal.
Also, Madison Rayne has been added to the gauntlet match to determine a No. 1 contender to the Impact Knockouts Championship. Check out the updated line-up below:
