TNA Wrestling is on hiatus.
The next two episodes of the promotion will revisit the best matches in 2024.
The first match will be Trinity (WWE’s Naomi) vs. Jordynne Grace at Hard to kill for the Knockouts Championship in January. Naomi came into the match with some strong momentum as Trinity held the Knockouts title for 182 days.
Trinity successfully defended the belt against Mickie James, Deonna Purrazzo, and Alisha Edwards. But Jordynne Grace would end up being the toughest match of her TNA career. The two TNA stars went about 20-minutes and easily had one of the best women’s matches in any promotion.
Next up, during Will Ospreay’s excursion in North America the current AEW star had a couple of matches in TNA. Not surprisingly, Ospreay made an instant impact because the 31-year-old is such a masterful performer who can adjust to anyone’s style. Him and Josh Alexander tore the house down in a rematch from their first-ever encounter in November.
Last, but not least, the tag team division gets the spotlight as ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) vs. The System (Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers) at Sacrifice will be showcased. ABC were the tag team champions who were dominating the division during this time.
However, The System’s Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers were no strangers to being apart of a successful tag team, so it was no surprise that the newly formed team was able to hold their own against the two-time Impact World Tag Team Champions.
Tonight’s Countdown special will also reveal the winners of Knockouts of the Year, Tag Team of the Year, and the One to Watch in 2025. TNA Wrestling is scheduled to return with live episodes on January 2. So all of the hot button questions about the return of Tessa Blanchard will have to wait until 2025. TNA has yet to release the match listing for the second part of their "best of" episode. Nevertheless, enjoy some of the best wrestling of the year in TNA!
