Will former WWE Tag Team Champion Heath Slater make his debut for Impact Wrestling soon?
On Tuesday, another hint that a former WWE superstar could make their debut in the company was dropped by Slater’s last partner, Rhino. During a segment between Hakim Zane and the ECW legend, the Desi Hit Squad member was pissed at the 44-year-old for hitting him with a gore.
Zane scolded Rhino over the incident and believed that the veteran should be lifting him up and taking him under his wing like a tag team partner. Zane offered to be partners with Rhino and the former ECW World Champion responded with,"I've already got a tag team partner...and he's got kids."
Rhino smiled and looked directly at camera while saying the phrase. The segment ended with a fight between the two Impact stars. This could’ve been a sarcastic response by Rhino; however, dropping a hint this big seems to indicate that he’ll reunite Slater sometime soon.
With another former WWE superstar expected to make their return to Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary, it’s possible that the company is building up some kind of tag team match involving Zane and Rhino.
At the moment, there’s no word on whether Slater has signed any type of deal with Impact Wrestling. Him and Rhino were the first-ever WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions back in late 2016. Once the duo dropped the belts in December of that year, they continued to fight together until Rhino’s departure in 2019.
