Sami Callihan has defeated Tessa Blanchard to become the new #1 contender for the Impact World Championship.
The match-up took place back at the Impact plus exclusive event, Unbreakable; Just like the former Knockouts Champion brought the fight to “The Draw” at Slammiversary, Blanchard gave Callihan a battle he would never forget.
The ending saw X-Division Champion Jake Christ provide a distraction, with Callihan nailing Blanchard with the X-Division title and then connecting with a piledriver for the win. At the moment, there’s no word on when Callihan will challenge Brian Cage for the championship.
