During the recent set of Impact Wrestling tapings in Mexico City, after reigning over the Knockouts division for over a year, Taya Valkyrie lost her championship to Jordynne Grace.

The promotion has been building a feud between these two since Bound For Glory, with Grace getting a victory over the longest-reigning Knockouts champion in a six-woman tag team match. Grace and ODB challenged for the title at Hard To Kill; however, Valkyrie was able to escape the pay-per-view victorious by slyly getting the pin on ODB as John E. Bravo distracted Grace.

This is the first championship for Grace under the Impact Wrestling banner. It should be interesting to see where Valkyrie goes from here, as the former Impact Knockouts Champion’s deal with the promotion reportedly ended in December 2019, though that hasn’t been confirmed.
