In perhaps the biggest surprise of the night, Deonna Purrazzo dropped the Impact Knockouts title to Su Yung!

Originally, the former WWE superstar was set to fight Kylie Rae for the belt; however, the No. 1 contender never appeared on the Bound For Glory show despite being advertised. According to Fightful and PW Insider, Rae simply didn’t show up for the pay-per-view. This is not a case of Rae no showing the event as Impact officials were concerned for her well-being throughout the day.

The decision to change the match-up was made that afternoon. While the reasoning behind Rae’s no-show is still a mystery, she is “alive and well” and it’s expected of the Impact star to make her return to the company very soon.

In the months leading up to Bound For Glory, Impact teased the return of Su Yung through her meek persona, Susie. The Impact knockout was taken out indefinitely by Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee at Victory Road following Susie’s failure to beat the 26-year-old for the belt.

Yung made a surprise return after Purrazzo issued out an open challenge. The champ targeted the damaged arm throughout the match and even came close to beating Yung with her signature double hook Fujiwara Armbar, but Yung escaped the submission hold, connected with a stunner and Panic Switch, which got her the three count. This is the second Knockouts title reign for Su Yung.
