This Friday will be a huge night for Taya Valkyrie, as the Impact Knockouts Champion will celebrate the longest title reign in the company’s history, should she retain her gold that is.
Valkyrie won the title back at Impact’s Homecoming pay-per-view in January, defeating Tessa Blanchard, though it was under controversial circumstances. Since then, Valkyrie has dominated the knockouts division by getting wins over the likes of Jordynne Grace, Havok, Rosemary, and Su Yung.
Valkyrie's opponent hasn’t been set for this Friday yet; however, the Knockouts Champion promised someone “new and interesting” in Mexico City for her title defense this week during her “State of the Knockouts Division” press conference.
While Valkyrie will most likely end up winning her match on Impact, the company teased Tenille Dashwood would be coming for the Knockouts Champion during her brief promo last week. Should that happen, it could end up being a great feud for the knockouts title.
