Tenille Dashwood challenged Deonna Purazzo for the IMPACT Knockouts Championship this past Sunday at Rebellion, and though "The Virtuosa" retained, the Aussie wrestler gained a measure of revenge by poking (no pun intended) fun at her opponent on social media.
Purazzo shared a photo of herself raising the title with the caption "awkward," which led to Dashwood responding with an even "more awkward" image of her own.
We assume this doesn't need an explanation...
All joking aside, these two put on a hell of a match at the PPV, with Purazzo only narrowly escaping with the gold thanks to interference from Kimber Lee and Susan. Dashwood managed to escape the Fujiwara armbar, but she didn't escape the Queen's Gambit, and the Virtuosa emerged victorious yet again.
Purazzo has been a dominant champion ever since she defeated Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary, but something tells us Dashwood will get another shot at that Knockouts title before too long, and there's a lot of speculation that the former "Emma" will be the one to dethrone the champ.
