First Ultimate X and now King of the Mountain.

Impact Wrestling has confirmed that the TNA original match will return for the special TNA: There’s No Place Like Home event. The match-up was introduced back in 2004, which is essentially a reverse ladder match with some convoluted rules attached to it.

If a competitor is pinned or submitted, he goes into the penalty box for two minutes. The competitor who scores the pinfall or submission is then eligible to hang the title. The man who hangs the title is declared the winner of the match.

The first match was Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles vs. Raven vs. Ron Killings (WWE’s R-Truth) vs. Chris Harris for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Jarrett would ultimately win and become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion. The last King of the Mountain match took place on April 22, 2016. Overall, there’s been a total of twelve KOTM matches.

Thus far, no competitors have been confirmed for the contest. The event is scheduled for April 3 at the Ritz Ybor City in Tampa, FL.
