Ethan Page and Josh Alexander are still the Impact World Tag Team Champions!

The North defended their belts last night against Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz and the match-up was an exciting thrill ride until the end.

As previously mentioned, The Rascalz have fought the duo three times before so it was no surprise that the challengers had numerous counters to the longest reigning champions moveset throughout the match-up. Xavier and Wentz used their speed and highflying ability to throw Page and Alexander off their game.

The challengers came extremely close to winning the belts on several occasions, including after a sweet destroyer and pele kick onto Alexander for a strong nearfall. However, there’s a reason the crafty champions have been ruling the tag team division since July 2019 as the duo eliminated Xavier from the contest by countering a suicide dive.

Alexander, who was the legal man, then dropped Wentz groin first into the ropes and tagged Page. They followed up with their signature torture rack/spinebuster combo for the three count. Both men celebrated their latest victory and proclaimed that nobody on the Impact roster could beat them. Does this mean that a new team will arrive in Impact soon?
