On Impact, The Rascalz fought former X-Division Champion Ace Austin and his bodyguard Madman Fulton. In the early portion of the match, Fulton and Austin had complete control of the bout and isolated Wentz from his partner Xavier.
After dominating Wentz, Fulton let go of a sleeper hold and allowed him to tag Xavier. A big mistake on the big man’s part as Xavier cleaned house; From there, The Rascalz used their aerial moveset to get the better of both Austin and Fulton. After sending Madman out of the ring, both Wentz and Xavier went to the top turnbuckle.
Wentz connected with a moonsault onto Fulton outside of the ring and Xavier hit a swanton onto Austin inside of it. He managed to get a three count. Following the match-up, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin came out and congratulated the duo on their big win.
Shelley explained that the Rascalz didn’t really have time to prepare for their Slammiversary match and ultimately challenged the duo to a rematch next week for the titles. Of course, The Rascalz accepted the opportunity and the title match between the two teams was made official.
