Tonight’s Impact features the semi-final round of the No. 1 Contender’s tournament and a big championship match.
Both matches will feature a clash of styles, as former X-Division Champion Ace Austin will take on “Super Mex” Hernandez. The cunning 23-year-old has managed to make a name for himself by outsmarting his opponents inside the ring; however, Hernandez has been wrestling for over 20 years, so the former Impact World Tag Team Champion has faced a sly competitor like Austin before.
In the second tournament match-up, Michael Elgin will take on Trey Miguel. In the biggest match of young Impact career, Miguel will need to fight an uphill battle when facing “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin. The former ROH World Champion is no stranger at being on top of the mountain; however, Elgin has been beaten in the past when it comes to the Impact World Championship, will Trey Miguel pull off the huge upset here?
The North will finally defend their Impact World Tag Team titles against a name tag team. Ethan Page and Josh Alexander have fought Canada’s “finest” in the last few weeks; however, Cody Deaner will step up and challenge the duo alongside a mystery partner. Will The North’s record setting title reign end tonight?
All this and more is set for tonight’s Impact Wrestling at 8pm on AXS TV. Check out the cold open above and the advertised matches below:
