Maggie Lee is TNA's newest knockout!
TNA just confirmed that the 5’11 athlete has signed a full time deal with the promotion. Lee has been in the business for less than three years, but she’s already made an impact everywhere she goes.
Lee has wrestled for AAW: Professional Wrestling Redefined, Glory Pro Wrestling, Black Label Pro, Ring of Honor, and Mid-West All Star Wrestling. The TNA newcomer actually made her debut on TNA Xplosion last year and fought former Knockouts Champion Rosemary. The match was six minutes, but that was enough to impress officials and Lee made several more returns to the company before being signed to a full time deal. TNA listed several of her accomplishments of their website:
- Earned a degree in exercise science while first training to become a wrestler.
- Earned All Region & All Conference accolades in college as a volleyball player.
- The Quote: “I’m from Iowa but swear my natural habitat is anywhere there is a beach and sunshine.”
- She worked on a gas dock fueling boats for multiple summers before wrestling.
- When asked about her favorite wrestler, Maggie said she always struggles with the answer because she had many favorites. But, she added, “I do have multiple shirts from when I was younger with ‘BELLA’ written in Sharpie (pen) on the back … shoutout Nikki Bella.”
- Enjoys weight lifting and working out. She was introduced to Olympic-style lifting and CrossFit in high school.
- “I definitely am a horse girl, but I’m unfortunately allergic.”
- She was involved in dance for about 8 years during her childhood.
Despite TNA announcing her signing Thursday, Fightful Select reports that her TNA contract was signed months ago, sometime around December. Why did TNA wait so long to reveal Maggie Lee’s signing? That question remains a mystery; however, it’s noted in the same report that Gail Kim and Ariel Sherner signed Lee - Kim and Sherner were the latest names to be fired from the company.
The report doesn’t state that there’s any relation to Lee’s announcement and Kim and Sherner being fired, but it’s certainly an interesting bit of timing. Nevertheless, Maggie was a former college volleyball star who trained at Seth Rollins’ Black & Brave Academy. Lee has won championships on multiple occasions as she’s a former HCW Women's World Champion, PWE Women’s Champion, 3XW Pure Wrestling Champion, and HAW Reinas Champion.
Lee has yet to make her TNA return in 2025. She made her TNA/Impact debut in 2024, but she was used as enhancement talent for Lei Ying Lee. Maggie is expected to make her official debut during the March 28-29 television tapings. Congratulations to Maggie for signing with TNA!
