Ultimate X will make its return at TNA: There’s No Place Like Home.
The promotion’s signature match was introduced in 2003 where Michael Shane won the X-Division title. Thus far, Chris Sabin holds the record for most Ultimate X match wins. The former X-Division Champion has won the bout eight times.
Since then, there’s been dozens of Ultimate X matches that have featured talents such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Jeff Hardy, Austin Aries, Matt Hardy, Samoa Joe, and Amazing Red. The competitors for this year’s match haven’t been confirmed yet; however, with talents such as Amazing Red, Chris Sabin, and Petey Williams set to compete, then it wouldn’t be a surprise if those guys get a chance to showcase what made the match so special in the first place.
Disco Inferno, D’Lo Brown, Ken Anderson, Chris Harris, and Scott Steiner are also confirmed for the show. The event is scheduled for April 3 at the Ritz Ybor City in Tampa, FL.
