Willie Mack is officially the #1 contender for the X-Division Championship!
Last night, the 33-year-old fought Chris Bey, Acey Romero, Daga, Rohit Raju, Jake Crist, Cousin Jake, and Trey Miguel for an opportunity to face Ace Austin for the prestigious belt at a later date. As expected, the match was a wild ride from beginning to end; however, Mack connected with his Six Star Frog Splash finisher on Jake Christ and got the three count.
Thus far, Mack has yet to win any titles within Impact Wrestling since his debut with the company in 2018. However, the St. Louis native is no stranger to being a champion as Mack previously held The Crash Heavyweight Championship, NWA National Championship, and AWS Heavyweight Championship.
Ace Austin has managed to beat every challenger that’s step in his way since winning the belt back at Bound For Glory; however, with Mack’s power and in-ring experience, are the X-Division Champion’s days numbered?
