It's been a weird few months for Alexa Bliss. After suffering a concussion, she was appointed the head of the women's division on
RAW before becoming a talk show host. Now, she's going to host
WrestleMania and the former Women's Champion has finally opened up on her apparent new role within the company.
She did actually compete in the Women's
Royal Rumble and at
Elimination Chamber but it seems as if WWE prefers using Bliss out of the ring rather than in it. Now, she's weighed on this change:
"It’s a little bit of a change, but it’s pretty much the same kind of thing. We tell stories in the ring, out of the ring, and I’m able to do both now, which is nice. And it’s just more opportunity to be able to hone my craft and get better at what I do. A lot of times, in the stories that we tell a lot of people don’t have the opportunity to speak their character, they just have to portray it in the ring. So being able to advance the storylines with talk show (segments) for other characters, plus add another dimension to my character, is a great opportunity."
Bliss has been working some live events but it seems like WWE may be using her sparingly until they're confident her health issues won't be a problem. She's certainly done a great job as the host of "A Moment of Bliss" and while it would be good to see her in the ring again soon, she's definitely still making an impact.
