According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning to once again split the RAW and SmackDown Live rosters once the blue brand moves to FOX this October. While there may some minor crossover between the two shows, things will not be like they are now.

WWE introduced the "Wild Card" rule back in may to allow Superstars from each show to appear on the brand they're not signed too but that was quickly forgotten and we've since seen what's felt like a complete end to the brand split which was introduced back in 2016.

So, what's led to this change of heart? Well, the plan to make the shows separate has been in place since WWE hired Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as the Executive Directors of RAW and SmackDown Live and chances are that both USA and FOX will want stars exclusive to their respective networks.

Meltzer notes that, as of right now, the current rosters are expected to remain in place.
