During this year's Superstar Shakeup, Buddy Murphy was called up to SmackDown Live to 205 Live. Unfortunately, WWE has done pretty much nothing with him since then but that changed recently when he became involved with the storyline revolving around Roman Reigns' mystery attacker.

Well, it turns out that wasn't the original plan for him. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, he was in the video by mistake and it was only after the speculation about his involvement started gaining steam online that WWE decided to run with it. As a result, Buddy has found himself in a main event storyline with Reigns, Daniel Bryan, and Rowan.

Murphy was given the opportunity to steal the show on SmackDown Live and did so with ease. The fact Reigns then praised him on social media is bound to have also helped and hopefully means we can look forward to seeing more from him moving forward.
