Here's Why Asuka Is Heading To WWE RAW Instead Of SMACKDOWN LIVE

Asuka remained undefeated while she was part of the NXT roster and it was shortly after NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III that the Empress of Tomorrow relinquished the NXT Championship. It was announced at the time that she would be making the move to RAW or SmackDown Live but it was only this week we learned that it will be the Monday night show she appears on.

So, why is she heading to RAW? In the past, most of us probably would have put that down to it being the flagship show but the quality and increasing ratings of SmackDown Live has changed that.

Instead, Wrestling Observer Radio reveals that WWE officials actually went back and forth on which brand Asuka would be best suited to. Ultimately, they decided that the women's roster on RAW simply isn't as strong as SmackDown Live's and that the undefeated Japanese Superstar would flourish better on that brand as a result. The question is now, will she remain undefeated?
