Here's Why Jeff Hardy Isn't Defending The United States Championship At MONEY IN THE BANK

We haven't seen United States Champion Jeff Hardy compete on SmackDown Live for a couple of weeks now but it's been revealed today why exactly he won't be defending his title at the Money in the Bank PPV.

When Jeff Hardy arrived on SmackDown Live during the Superstar Shakeup, he brought the United States Championship with him. Since then, he's taken part in a lot of fun matches against the likes of Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan but we haven't seen him on television for a couple of weeks now and there are clearly no plans for him to defend his title at Money in the Bank later this month.

Well, according to Dave Meltzer, Hardy is actually dealing with an injury right now which is why we haven't seen him for a couple of weeks. Apparently, he has a pinched nerve which has caused numbness in his fingers and that's obviously a very serious matter which needs to be watched.

WWE is clearly assessing Hardy's condition and if he does end up needing time off, we can presumably expect him to relinquish the United States Championship and for some sort of tournament to take place. If we're lucky, though, he'll be fighting fit at some point in the coming weeks as it's been great seeing him on SmackDown Live lately. As always, be sure to stay tuned for the latest updates.
