On Tuesday night's episode of SmackDown Live, Sami Zayn squared off with Aleister Black. That match was expected to take place at SummerSlam but Dave Meltzer has now revealed that the bout taking place on free TV was a result of the changes Vince McMahon made by rewriting the show.

Vince arrived in Detroit on Tuesday and decided to tear up the show's script. However, that left an hour of TV to fill and that's when the decision was made to bring this match forward.

As of right now, it seems highly unlikely that a rematch will go down on Sunday but it's possible depending on how long WWE plans on making SummerSlam. It was a solid bout and the PPV certainly won't suffer without it because it's already a stacked show with a lot of star power.

What do you guys think about the change?
