It Doesn't Sound Like We Should Expect Any Major Releases From WWE's Main Roster Anytime Soon

We're reaching that time of year when a number of WWE Superstars are unexpectedly released by the company but a new report points to the company holding off on hiring any big names for at least a few months.

WWE's main roster is currently huge. Despite the fact it's split over two shows - RAW and SmackDown Live - there are many Superstars who still don't appear on television on a weekly basis simply because there isn't enough room for them and that's led to a lot of speculation that some cuts could be coming in the near future, especially as releases frequently happen around this time of year.

Well, it's now being reported that WWE is holding off on any big cuts because the bad press which often surrounds them could compromise the lucrative TV deals the company is working on.

You wouldn't think that would make a difference but WWE frequently comes under fire from fans for either firing diverse Superstars or getting rid of popular names like Damien Sandow or Austin Aries. It's also said that the belief within WWE right now is that there are more than enough Superstars to go around and it gives the creative team the opportunity to shake things up on a week to week basis.

However, those who are likely to be cut are down in the Performance Centre as WWE frequently gets rid of anyone they believe doesn't have the potential to become a Superstar on the main roster.
