While WWE reportedly intends on having The New Day have more WWE Tag Team Championship wins than any other team in history, things don't look great for them right now. During a WWE Live Event in Arkansas this weekend, the trio squared off with The Usos and Breezango in a Triple Threat match but it appears as if Xavier Woods suffered a knee injury of some sort during that.

According to those in attendance, Woods went for a jumping DDT but pushed off the wrong way and ended up buckling his knee on the way down. The referee then threw up the dreaded "X" symbol and one of the Usos then rolled up Kofi Kingston to quickly wrap things up. Woods was then helped to the back by Kofi, Big E, and WWE doctor Chris Amann.

There's been no official word on Woods's status since but if he has badly injured himself, this doesn't bode well for the team. Of course, the benefit of being a trio is that Big E and Kofi will still be able to compete and as Woods is most frequently seen with them at ringside, he could still feasibly join them even if it's on crutches or some sort of wheelchair. We'll just have to wait and see!
