Yes, the most noteworthy thing to happen on this week's episode of SmackDown was a mid-card heel turn.

After working as a face for the past few months and gaining very little traction, Lacey Evans returned to her heel roots last night after losing a karaoke competition and attacking the winner, Naomi, from behind. This led to an impromptu match which ended in a no contest.

Evans has come under fire for still being a bit green in the ring (somewhat unfairly, in our view), but there's no denying that her Sassy Southern Belle persona generated a lot of heat. WWE tried to capitalize on the fact that Lacey is an armed forces veteran by making her a good guy, but it didn't really take, and her promos only seemed to make her more unpopular.

Hopefully this turn will lead to a renewed push for the former NXT Superstar, because she has a lot of potential as a top heel in the women's division.

You can check out the karaoke segment below... if you dare.
