When WWE started teasing Otis' defection from Alpha Academy to Maximum Male Models, it was tough to figure out where the whole thing might be heading.
Fans were quick to make it clear they didn't want to see Gable and Otis go their separate ways and the company since appears to have changed course, ditching Mace and Mansoor, and bringing Maxine Dupree into Alpha Academy. In recent weeks, however, the trio has been targeted by The Viking Raiders.
Due to the formidable warriors being accompanied to the ring by Valhalla - who has taken an unusual interest in Maxine - the model/manager has begun training with Gable and Otis.
In reality, she's already a trained professional wrestler, but the idea seems to be to build to her getting ready for in-ring action, hence why the fact she pulled off an arm drag on RAW last night felt like such a big deal! In what's proving to be one of the show's most compelling secondary stories, Maxine even debuted some eye-catching new ring gear.
Oh, and for those of you wondering what's become of Mace and Mansoor, rumour has it they're getting repackaged.
Initially, they looked to be front and centre in this storyline, but both have vanished in recent weeks. Blissfully, WWE seems to have moved on from Maximum Male Models as a whole since Triple H took charge of creative, hence why LA Knight is now one of SmackDown's most popular heels instead of "Max Dupri."
Only time will tell where all this is heading, but you can't deny it stands a chance of being one of this year's most enjoyable (and goofy) pro wrestling storylines!
