NXT Superstar Finn Balor Reveals Whether He Has Any Plans To Return To RAW Or SMACKDOWN

Finn Balor quickly became NXT's top star, so when he was moved to the main roster and almost immediately won the Universal Championship, no one was massively surprised.

Unfortunately, that SummerSlam match with Seth Rollins ended with Balor suffering a shoulder injury that forced him to relinquish the title the next night on RAW. When he returned, it seemed Vince McMahon wasn't willing to push him as more than a midcard talent, and The Demon quickly ran its course.

Later, Balor decided to move back to NXT, a decision that has definitely benefitted him.

So, is the door closed to him ever returning to RAW and SmackDown? Well, while you may think The Prince would rather stay in NXT, he's 100% on board with being back on the main roster.

"Absolutely, absolutely," he told Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast. "I grew up as a wrestling fan watching WWE, and that’s essentially where I want to be performing. I feel like in my last run there I wasn’t doing myself justice and needed to change something. The change was NXT and I needed to figure out who I was again, and I managed to do that to some level, and I am definitely hopeful that a return to RAW or SmackDown will happen in the future."

It will be interesting to see what happens when Balor does return to the main roster. With any luck, his run in NXT will give Vince renewed faith in him as a top star, and he can return to that world title picture.

Do you think Balor should remain in NXT?
