It's been reported in recent weeks that Brock Lesnar is now a free agent after his WWE contract expired, and he was unable to come to terms with the company on a new deal. With this being the pro wrestling world, we have no idea how much truth there is to that, of course, and it's hard to imagine Vince McMahon allowing The Beast to slip from his grasp.
These days, Paul Heyman is representing Universal Champion Roman Reigns, but in an interview with ESPN, the advocate opened up about what's going on with Lesnar right now.
"It depends on if there’s a worthy challenger and enough box office appeal," Heyman said of Lesnar's WWE status. "Right now, he’s very happy being a farmer and a magnificent father to his children. However, if there’s something that WWE can offer that intrigues, motivates, or inspires Lesnar, and if the money is right and the business is solid, I’m sure he would be willing to do it."
"At this moment, it [a comeback] hasn’t happened because it [a worthy offer] isn’t there. Again, the world changes with the snap of a finger. It could be tomorrow when Lesnar says, ‘Oh, that intrigues me.’ Again, its not just a sound byte, but Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do."
We're bound to see Lesnar back in WWE before too long, but chances are it won't be during this pandemic era. As a result, it might not be until next year's WrestleMania that he steps back into the ring.
