RAW Ratings Increased Slightly Following The Announcement Of The New "Wild Card" Rule

It doesn't make a huge amount of sense but it appears as if WWE's "Wild Card" rule is already paying off for the company as RAW ratings managed to slightly rebound despite competition from the NBA Playoffs.

Last week's RAW drew its lowest audience to date but this week's instalment saw some improvement following the announcement of a new "Wild Card" rule by Vince McMahon. Despite facing stiff competition from the NBA Playoffs, it managed to draw 2,224,000 viewers which is slight increase from last Monday's 2,158,000 viewers.

This was still the second lowest non-holiday episode in the show's history so WWE has a lot of work to do but it no doubt would have performed better without those Playoffs.

On the plus side, viewership was a lot more steady over the course of the three hours and it seems that WWE Championship WrestleMania rematch pitting Kofi Kingston against Daniel Bryan kept fans around. Hour one did 2,468,000 viewers, hour two managed 2,240,000 viewers, and hour three stayed above 2 million with 2,024,000 viewers.

We can expect more changes from WWE over the coming weeks as they try to get these numbers up.
