RAW Superstar Moved To SMACKDOWN, Breaking Up Another Of WWE's Female Tag Teams

WWE continues to overlook the Women's Tag Team division, something that's evident from the company's decision to move another RAW Superstar from the brand, effectively splitting up a fan-favourite team...

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE has moved Naomi from RAW to SmackDown. This isn't a surprise in some respects as she's married to SmackDown Superstar Jimmy Uso, and with live event touring once again taking place, it's commonplace for couples to be placed on the same brand so they can travel together.

However, it's worth noting that this effectively splits up another tag team in the women's division.

The Women's Tag Team Championships are overlooked at the best of times, and Naomi already lost one partner when Lana was released by WWE. Since then, she's been teaming with Asuka on a regular basis, but that's another team that has now reached its end.

On the plus side, this could lead to a renewed singles push for Naomi. At Money in the Bank on Sunday night, The Usos defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio to become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and both Jimmy and Jey are obviously aligned with Roman Reigns right now. It seems unlikely Naomi will factor into that, but it will certainly be interesting having them all on the same show!

Naomi was part of the women's ladder match on Sunday, but the briefcase was won by Nikki A.S.H. who cashed in on Charlotte Flair last night to become RAW Women's Champion.

Keep checking back here for updates on Naomi as we have them!
