Ronda Rousey Vs. A Heel Natalya Was One Of Vince McMahon's Original Ideas For WRESTLEMANIA

As of right now, the current plan for WrestleMania is RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch. However, things could have been much different before fan support and a stellar transformation of her character rocketed the Irish Lass Kicker straight to the top of the women's division.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Vince McMahon's original plan for Rousey's WrestleMania match was to have her face a heel Natalya.

That changed after her father Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart passed away as he no longer believed that fans would boo her. As a result, McMahon reportedly went back to wanting Flair for the match but Becky's rise changed things and that's why we're getting a Triple Threat match.

It certainly would have been nice for Natalya to have a singles bout on the Grandest Stage of Them All but it's hard to say how interested fans would have been. WWE was clearly teasing this as we spent weeks waiting for Natalya to turn on Rousey but that never came. Are you guys disappointed that the veteran Superstar isn't going to get the chance to shine at WrestleMania
