For the most part, when a wrestler leaves WWE, the company will act like they no longer exist. We've seen many beloved fan-favourites essentially scrubbed from history, and if someone is mentioned, then it's usually by the name they used while working for Vince McMahon.
Well, during last night's episode of SmackDown, Seth Rollins confronted Roman Reigns ahead of their Royal Rumble match and pointed out that when they were part of The Shield, he and "Mox" carried the Head of the Table just like The Usos are carrying him now. McMahon would have had to give Rollins the go-ahead to say that name, but when you think about it, it makes sense.
Jon Moxley is now well-known by that name and to call him "Dean" or "Ambrose" would have arguably been an insult to the intelligence of fans. With that in mind, we'll give WWE credit where it's due.
Over on AEW Rampage, Moxley battled Ethan Page in an opening match that saw him pick up the win with his bulldog choke. He looked great, but it's what happened afterwards that has fans talking. Making his way to the back, Mox bumped into Bryan Danielson who had clearly been watching his return with great interest. Now, the stage is being set for a match at some point!
