Seth Rollins has firmly established himself as one of WWE's top Superstars, giving him the freedom to say things others might not. Take his thoughts on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, for example.
The Hulkster isn't a popular figure in the WWE locker room or among fans after a video leaked several years ago of him making a series of racist remarks. During the first RAW on Netflix, Hogan came out to promote his new beer and was met by a chorus of deafening boos.
Hogan has since blamed that on being a well-known "heel" in Los Angeles and his support for Donald Trump in the build-up to the 2024 Presidential Election.
Promoting Money in the Bank during a recent interview, Rollins named a "nightmare team" of three professional wrestlers he'd like to see get "crushed," singling them out as his "most hated people of all-time."
He started with his current rival CM Punk, followed up with Rick "The Model" Martel (whom he hated as a kid), and then set his sights on Hogan.
"This one may be controversial, but we also want somebody that we want to see get crushed in the ring. That’s gonna be Hulk Hogan," he shared before being asked to elaborate on why. "You can look it up. You’ll figure it out. Yeah, we’d love to see Hulk Hogan just get kicked around a little bit by these boys. That’d be nice."
Adding that he has a "complicated relationship there with The Hulkster," Rollins continued, "Hollywood Hulk Hogan, not a good guy. Terry Bollea, also not the best guy. Don’t worry, I’m doing you a favor right now. This will go viral just for you."
In February, Rollins said this about Hogan deserving the boos he receives from fans during the first RAW on Netflix:
"I am all for people getting what they deserve. That’s how I feel about Hulk Hogan getting booed. If you are getting booed by the masses, there is a reason for it. I don’t know if Hulk fully understands the scope but people get what they deserve. So I’m happy to see it. I love to see it. Look, I’ve said this before about the Hulkster, he’s the guy that got me into this industry as far as love for professional wrestling."
"So I’ll never take that away from him, what he’s done for our business, I’ll never take that away from him. But I do think there’s some responsibility that he needs to own up to that he hasn’t yet. Maybe when he finally figures that out, might be able to move forward with our fans. So we’ll see."
