Sin Cara's Match With Andrade "Cien" Almas Was Nixed Due To An Apparent Storyline Injury

As is usually the case, WWE has been familiarising viewers with former NXT Champion Andrade "Cien" Almas by pitting him against a variety of jobbers. However, it's recently become clear that his first rivalry will be with Sin Cara, not the most inspired choice but one which could work given the history between the two men. Unfortunately, their match on last night's SmackDown Live didn't happen.

Why not? Well, WWE is claiming that he hasn't been cleared for competition after last week's backstage attack. Apparently, the former 205 Live star is said to be suffering from a shoulder injury.

It's odd that this wasn't referenced on the show yesterday because the bout was advertised beforehand but we know that the injury isn't legit because Almas beat Sin Cara repeatedly at WWE Live events this past weekend. It is, of course, possible that the match will be added to the Money in the Bank card but it would be a shame for it to wind up on the Kickoff show seeing as Almas deserves better!
