There's A Very Specific Reason Why Kalisto Won The Cruiserweight Championship On WWE RAW Last Night

Enzo Amore's championship reign came to a sudden halt last night when Kalisto managed to nab the Cruiserweight title and we now have some backstage news on why exactly things played out the way they did.

Kalisto made his debut as part of the Cruiserweight division last Monday to little fanfare but with no one else on the roster allowed to wrestle Enzo Amore after attacking him a few weeks ago, he's emerged as the only challenger for that divisive Superstar's title. Well, as we've already told you, he emerged victorious on last night's RAW when he nabbed the title. Why, though, did it happen?

Well, it's been reported that Neville was supposed to be Enzo's opponent last night but things were changed shortly before the show started. That's because the creative team reportedly realised they'd backed themselves into a corner by making it so that Neville wasn't allowed to lay hands on the champion and the fact Kalisto's win coincided with Eddie Guerrero's birthday also factored into the decision.

After all, WWE has been celebrating Hispanic Heritage month throughout October so Kalisto's win was definitely a feel-good moment they can promote. It now remains to be seen whether or not Enzo will emerge victorious in his rematch or if Kalisto is simply being used as a way to get the title back on Neville. What do you guys hope happens next?
