Tonight's SMACKDOWN Will Feature A Replay Of The "Boneyard Match" As A "Tribute" To The Undertaker

Following the news that The Undertaker has seemingly retired from in-ring competition, WWE has announced that tonight's episode of SmackDown will feature a replay of WrestleMania's "Boneyard Match."

As you're no doubt already aware, WWE was forced to completely rewrite this week's SmackDown tapings after a large number of in-ring talent and backstage personnel tested positive for COVID-19. To call this a disaster for the company would be an understatement, but it now appears the company has found a way to kill time during tonight's show.

As you can see below, WWE has announced a "Tribute To The Undertaker" following his apparent retirement at the end of Undertaker: The Last Ride on the WWE Network. That "Tribute" is going to take the form of a replay of the "Boneyard Match" from this year's WrestleMania, and this is bound to have a negative impact on SmackDown's ratings.

Nothing else has been announced for the show thus far, but it wouldn't be surprising if Matt Riddle is M.I.A. regardless of COVID-19, especially after those sexual assault allegations were levelled against him ahead of last week's SmackDown. We'll have to wait and see, but will obviously keep you guys updated with how the show comes together.
